According to an article from World magazine, Americans who read the Bible prefer the King James Version over any other. The article refers to the results of a study conducted by the Center for the Study of Religion and American Life.
One of the most surprising findings of the study is that, in spite of the proliferation of other English-language translations in recent decades, the King James Version (KJV) remains by far America’s most-read Bible.
No doubt, the Authorized Version continues to enjoy prominence among traditional Anglicans. The influences of the AV on the prayer books of 1662 (England) and 1928 (US) are apparent.
